Only a few short hours to go before the launch of 2010. It's time to start praying for the strength to keep all those New Year's resolutions you'll make soon.

I will be counting down the New Year at home, celebrating with a bottle of water and a piece of chocolate. Maybe I'll even start celebrating a little early. After all I do have that Hershey stash ...

Merry Christmas! Unto us a Savior was born and we have reason to celebrate! I would like to wish all of you and your families a safe and very merry Christmas. May it be a time to cherish and remember for years to come.

I had a wonderful time Saturday night at the Christmas party. There were several groups there and I have to be honest and say it was by far the best Christmas party I have ever been to. While I couldn’t eat until after my performance because of acid reflux, smelling the sweet aromas of all the food prepared for the event didn’t bother me at all. Only after my performance when I sat down did I become very hungry.

The meal was a traditional one of country ham, green beans and potatoes, cream-style corn, rolls, chicken and various other hot dishes I can’t remember. The entertainment was fantastic with a lineup that included both groups from this year’s “Music City Gospel Showcase” and those who will be making their first appearance next year.

It was an amazing experience and I hope we get to attend next year. I could easily make this a Christmas tradition.

When we walked outside after the party was over and everyone was done snapping photos, all the cars were covered in a very light dusting of snow and a few flurries fell on my face as we walked to our car. Unfortunately the snow didn't stick and when we woke up early Sunday morning there was no trace of the snow that had fallen the night before.

I am in great spirits today. I have a lot of work to do in preparation for college exams next week which includes several hours of lectures I have to listen to.

I was able to complete two of my four exams and the two I mentioned above are the third and fourth ones I was hoping to send in before Christmas. The first two were for Archaeology, a subject that became very interesting while listening to lectures. It painted an amazing picture of New Testament times and the world Christ and the Apostles lived in. The last two are on the Doctrine of the Bible, a course that was very interesting as well.

I have four college exams to complete before Christmas week and I'm in the process of finishing some related course work. I pray I do well on them since my GPA is pretty good and I would love to graduate with a highaverage.

Next Saturday night is the annual Christmas party put on by Don Frost and his wife at a country club in Hindersonville, Tennessee. I am excited about being a part of this year's event which promises to be an enjoyable one.

I have spent the day fixing some errors I made and touching up what I have written on my third novel. It's coming along beautifully and I am very excited about it. I love the fact that it's finally progressing like I'd hoped it would.

I would write more but I am in the middle of a good Christmas movie.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I spent mine at home with my family and we had a great time. For once we managed to get all of our Christmas decorations put into place before the Thanksgiving rush. I even got my tree up and decorated and it looks beautiful!
