Hi all! It's been a while since I've posted here, much longer than I intended. My husband's brother went home to be with Christ on December 15. He was a great person with a wonderful heart for Christ and we would like to thank you all for your prayers and the concern you showed during his illness. It meant the world to us to know so many people cared and were praying for him. He was such an amazing person; and he will be missed by all of us.
I have been busy preparing to go to Nashville to begin recording my new album and we are so excited about this new project and we think you will be too when you hear it. We have handpicked each song with the hope that it will not only minister to those in need, but be a blessing to the hearts of all who hear it, lifting their spirits and making them smile. And as we work on this, we would like to ask that you pray for us as we undertake this new chapter in our ministry.

We're decorating for Christmas! We've put up one tree and have one more to go. Then we string them both with lights and hang ornaments. We also have a towering plate of chocolate chip cookies on the table andChristmas music playing in the background. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man. I can remember many a Christmas wishing for him, praying God would send me such an angel. He is my greatest Christmas wish come true, my greatest Christmas gift.
My niece asked me the other day if I had ever wished on a wishbone and if so, did my wish come true. My thoughts instantly flashed to all those Christmases, those days spent wishing, praying, dreaming, believing. And this Christmas, I have my wish. Merry Christmas everyone!

It's been raining here all day and the temperature is steadily dropping. I think this is a clear sign that winter is fast approaching. I have been doing my best to keep warm while I study, and I have also spent some time working on my new hobby: air-dry clay sculpting. I'm not very good at it yet. I've crafted two small cup holders by hand and I'm looking forward to learning how to do more. I love working with my hands and this provides an excellent opportunity to do that.
Jeff's doctors have been administering anti-rejection shots to reverse his Graft vs. Host Disease. They're first impressions were that the shots weren't effective and they even talked about discontinuing them as recently as yesterday. But today, they seem a little more optimistic. He was given another blood transfusion this morning and tests are currently being done both to monitor his GVHD and to determine what is causing the sudden appearance of a rash and large spots on his body. We feel a little more encouraged this afternoon to hear that they think there is a possibility that things might be looking up and we're hoping the rash and spots aren't a sign of anything serious.

I am currently cooking dinner, trying a new potato recipe given to me by my great-grrandmother. So far it smells wonderful and I'm hoping it tastes just as good. To me I'm not the world's greatest cook, but I love the challenge of trying new things.

We are rejoycing this afternoon. Jeff is in his third straight day of improvement after weeks of uncertainty. He walked further today than he has walked and he is eating some.
He has been diagnosed with graft vs. host disease, a disease in which the donated organ rejects the recipient's body. The disease is difficult to treat and it will be a few more weeks before we know for certain if the liver rejection is being reversed. In the meantime, we have been encouraged by his progress and I'm hoping this marks a turning point for him.
In September I started work on a new album with Dave Wilcox of Planet Nashville Christian Entertainment. I have been looking forward to this for a long time and we finally feel that the time is right to pursue the album. However, with all that is going on with Jeff and the uncertainty we still face, I am taking things slow. My primary focus is on my family and the album has to come second to that. I am also still in college, working hard to complete my last eight weeks of schooling.
